The Virtual Hydrology Lab (HYDROVLAB) is an academic initiative that aims to give students and professionals the means to observe, experiment, and understand the behavior of a hydrologic system and the interaction for the variables that may be involved.
HYDROVLAB has three types of tools:
- Data analysis, which allows the user make a consistence analysis, modeling the historic series and the estimated missing information.
- Process simulation, which allows us to study each one of the phases of the hydrologic cycle and the effect of the variation of its parameters.
- Design of the works related to hydrology, hydraulics and fluvial engineering that are set up in a supporting tool for the planner.
HYDROVLAB has a friendly and interactive interface which allows for the collaboration and information exchange between the users through the technologies of the WEB 2.0, becoming an invaluable didactic resource in the study of hydrology.
